Lavender Fields Care Village and Care Home Open Week 2026
Care Home Open Week is one of the most important moments in the social care calendar, and this year Lavender Fields Care Village is proud to be taking part alongside thousands of care homes across the country.
Running from 15 to 19 June 2026, our week of events is designed to open our doors to the wider community. Whether you are a family thinking about care for a loved one, a local professional, someone considering a career in care, or simply curious about who we are and what life looks like here, there is something for you.
Here is what we have planned:
Monday 15 June, 1.00pm to 2.00pm: Sound Bath. We are starting the week with a gong sound bath session, followed by a nourishing healthy snack. A calm and restorative way to begin the week.
Tuesday 16 June, 10.00am to 12.00pm: Friendship and Support Cafe. Our dementia-friendly friendship and support cafe is open to all. Come along for a complimentary cup of tea or coffee, a slice of cake, and the chance to meet new people in a warm and relaxed setting.
Wednesday 17 June, 8.30am to 10.00am: Professionals Networking Breakfast. We are inviting local professionals to join us for a morning focused on connection and conversation over breakfast. If you work in health, social care, or a related field, we would be glad to welcome you.
Thursday 18 June, 10.00am to 5.00pm: Careers Open Day. Whether you are actively looking for a new role or simply want to understand what a career in care involves, our careers open day gives you the chance to meet the team, ask questions, and see the home for yourself.
Friday 19 June, 11.00am to 5.00pm: Open Day with Live Music. We are finishing the week in style with Pimms, food, and live musical entertainment. Come along for a relaxed afternoon, take a tour of the home, and meet the people who make Lavender Fields what it is.
