Dementia Care
Calm, consistent and rooted in dignity.
Not all dementia care is the same. At Lavender Fields, we support people living with dementia with quiet confidence and genuine compassion, offering a place where residents feel safe, understood and gently supported.
We focus on the person, not just the condition. That means familiar routines, familiar faces, and care that adapts with respect, not urgency.
A Place That Feels Settled
Our dementia support is designed to reduce anxiety and offer structure without pressure. Residents are encouraged to stay involved in daily life, supported at every step by people they know and trust.
There’s no sense of rushing. No strict schedules. Just time, space and a team that truly understands what calm, dignified care looks like.
What a breath of fresh air, a home designed around residents’ needs yet still feeling like home. As both a relative and a frailty clinician, I can say this is the best of them.

Built on Experience and Heart
Our founder, Chris Mitchell, holds a degree in Dementia Studies and remains closely involved in the daily running of the village. Lavender Fields was created in part to offer a gentler, more human approach, one that recognises the emotional weight behind every decision.
You won’t find institutional routines or clinical detachment here. You’ll find patience, consistency and a team that notices the small things.
“She might not always remember the moment, but she’ll remember the feeling. And that matters most.”
— Daughter of a Lavender Fields resident
