Many residents begin their journey living independently in a bungalow. Over time, if closer support is needed, residential care is available just steps away in Provence House. Later, if greater assistance is required, round-the-clock support is here, along with compassionate end-of-life care when the time comes.
This journey means you can remain part of the same community, surrounded by familiar faces, friends and staff every step of the way. It's what makes Lavender Fields truly unique.
When Lavender Fields was founded, we set out to do things differently. Whilst many retirement and care villages imposed costly ground rents, short leases and hidden exit fees, we wanted to ensure our residents and their families were always protected.
That's why every bungalow is sold with:
A 999-year lease. Security and peace of mind for you and future generations.
A peppercorn rent of £0, with no increases – ever. No ground rent. Not now, not ever. As far as we are aware, Lavender Fields was one of the first care villages to adopt a no ground rent policy, underlining our long-standing commitment to protecting residents from hidden costs.
No deferred management charges (exit fees). When your bungalow is sold, 100% of the proceeds belong to you or your estate. No surprises, no deductions.
