Each bungalow has its own front door, private patio or garden, and comfortable living spaces. Residents can enjoy their own routine while also dipping into the wider community, whether it’s joining friends for lunch, popping into the salon, or taking part in events and activities.
And if your needs change over time? You’re already in the right place, with care and support available when and if you need it.

The Lavender Fields Care Journey
Life doesn’t stand still, and neither do your care needs. At Lavender Fields, you never have to worry about leaving the place you call home. Many residents begin their journey living independently in a bungalow, before opting for close care support if needed. Later, if greater assistance is needed, our care home is here to provide round-the-clock support and, in time, compassionate end-of-life care.
This journey means you can remain part of the same community, surrounded by friends, staff and familiar surroundings every step of the way.
When Lavender Fields was founded, we set out to do things differently. While many retirement and care villages imposed costly ground rents, short leases and exit fees, we wanted to make sure our residents and their families were always protected.
That’s why every bungalow is sold with:
A 999-year lease
A peppercorn rent of £0, with no increases - ever
No deferred management charges (exit fees). When your bungalow is sold, 100% of the proceeds belong to you or your estate.
From the very start, Lavender Fields Care Village adopted a no ground rent policy. As far as we are aware, no other village had introduced this at the time, underlining our long-standing commitment to protecting residents from hidden costs and giving families peace of mind.
