Summary of Inspection Findings - Provence House
This summary outlines key findings from an independent inspection against recognised care standards.
In November 2025, Provence House at Lavender Fields Care Village underwent an independent inspection by Care Inspections UK against the British Standard for Adult Residential Care (BS8606:2019). This standard is recognised as one of the most detailed frameworks for assessing residential care quality in the UK.
Provence House met the required compliance threshold across all inspection areas and was awarded certification with no major non-compliances identified.
The inspection examined quality, safety, safeguarding, infection control, care planning, medicines management, nutrition, staffing and leadership.
Inspectors described Provence House as calm, organised and embedded in its philosophy of care. Residents reported feeling safe and supported. Care plans were found to be person-centred and regularly reviewed, with families involved in planning and professional advice clearly followed.
Meals were treated as part of care rather than catering, with dignity maintained throughout. Medicines were managed through secure and structured systems. Safety equipment and environments were well maintained.
Staff recruitment, training and supervision processes were in place and monitored. Leadership actions were recorded as part of continuous improvement.
Overall, the inspection confirmed that Provence House operates within clear structure, accountability and ongoing quality oversight.
For families, this does not mean nothing will ever go wrong. It means there is a system in place when something does.
